Travel directions: Scotrail from Edinburgh to Galashiels (NOT Tweedbank station),  or bus (First X62 to Melrose). From Galashiels Interchange station (train + bus), you can walk (25+ mins, eastward, cross river at Asda roundabout), or take a taxi, or take any bus going south (e.g. to Selkirk, Melrose, Berwick, BGH, incl. X62) and ask driver to drop you at Arches Walk stop; walk down stairs at Arches Walk to campus’ south entrance. 

  • Bus: First Bus x62 from Edinburgh (via Peebles, destination Melrose), leaving Edinburgh at 0820 (arriving Arches Walk 1036), or leaving Edinburgh 0852 (arriving Arches Walk 1106)
  • Train: Scotrail from Edinburgh Waverley at 0924 (arriving Galashiels Interchange 1017), or 0956 (arriving 1047); in both cases, either walk or take the X62 c.10 minutes later to Arches Walk, or a local bus going that way. Early birds might want to get the 0855 train (arriving 0946), then have a coffee stop – venue not open until c.1015.
  • Taxis; 01896 756789 / 757677 – there are taxi ranks next to the Interchange, or 100m ahead across the river in the Main Street of Galashiels.
