PLEASE NOTE: THIS POST REFERS TO AN EVENT THAT HAS NOW PASSED.
Dear Members,
Following on from my Convener’s Report, published on the Website on the 1st of May, and discussed at our AGM on the 8th of May, I’m writing to invite you to participate in our forthcoming Extraordinary General Meeting. As previously advised, this meeting will take place on Zoom on Monday the 24th of May at 2 pm. It will last no longer than half an hour.
The purpose of the meeting is to vote on the proposed amendment to the Society’s Constitution, viz:
§6. The affairs of the Society shall be managed by a Committee consisting of five office-bearers, between five and seven ordinary members, and the power to co-opt two other members.
…be amended to: six office-bearers – to allow for the formalisation of the position of Webmaster, with responsibility for maintaining the Society’s website, and advising on other matters pertaining to electronic communications, technologies and software.
